A Son of a Witch from North Carolina

Hello, there!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Charlie Morgan. I've been a fireman for Green River Fire and Rescue for almost eleven years and an author of horror fiction for a little over three (you can visit my author blog by clicking HERE). I live in a small town (that nobody's ever heard of) in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. There's one more thing about me... something that typically earns odd looks from people... I'm a witch.

Normal responses to this revelation are, "you're a devil worshipper?!" or "read Harry Potter one too many times, have we?" and any number of other befuddled comments.

First of all - No, I do not worship the "Devil." That would require my belief in such an entity. Witchcraft is a nature-based belief system that has no "big, red, horned, evil dude," though there's a good chance something along those lines can be found in politics.
};-p~

And I can honestly say that I've never read a Harry Potter novel or watched any of the movies.

I don't hold secret "cult" meetings in dark, isolated forests. I don't sacrifice humans, children or animals. I don't fly on broomsticks or throw fireballs from my hands, though I have to admit, that would be pretty cool.

So what do I do?

I live my life just as any other human being. My spiritual beliefs are peaceful and, as stated above, involve a close connection to nature.

Now that that's out of the way, the purpose of this blog is not to be a how-to guide or anything along those lines (though there will probably be times that I post some things for you to try out). The reason this wee little blog exists is for me to have a voice to express myself within the realm of my chosen path. I'll be posting my original poetry, possibly some short stories here and there, essays, reviews, interviews, pagan oriented shops and so forth. I'll do my best to keep things updated as much as I'm able and keep it fun and entertaining. You can also expect to find little nuggets of witchy humor here and there.

So, welcome to my little corner of the web-filled cauldron. Cakes and ale are to the left...just save me some ale. New posts are coming very soon and I look forward to meeting and hearing from all you wonderful folks!

Blessed be
Charlie
